ÖLFLEX® TRAIN manufacturing technology Cable insulation products are usually made of thermoplastic materials, mainly consisting of macromolecules. When warmed, the mobility of the molecule chains increases, making the plastic soft and malleable and eventually melting – an exclusion criterion for the use of such materials in railway equipment with its demanding safety and environmental conditions and high-temperature requirements.
