OSKAR LAPP - FOUNDATION
Under the auspices of the Oskar Lapp Foundation, founded in 1992, LAPP is committed to furthering research into heart disease. Each year, young scientists are recognised for their outstanding work in this field.
Following the death of Oskar Lapp, Ursula Ida Lapp and her sons were anxious to establish an instution that would commemorate the life and beliefs of the founder of the company. As Oskar Lapp died of a heart disease, the family decided to dedicate the Oskar Lapp Foundation to the study of cardiology.
In cooperation with the Deutschen Gesellschaft für Kardiologie, each year the Foundation awards a prize to a young scientist who has shown unwavering commitment to cardiovascular research and whose work has enabled new findings in this field.
