The 08 brands are as follows:
ÖLFLEX® - Single and Multicore cable, UNITRONIC® - Shielded and Unshielded twisted pair cables, ETHERLINE® - Active network components, HITRONIC® - Single and Multimode fiber optic cables, EPIC® - Rectangular and Circular industrial connectors, SKINTOP® - Handy cable glands, SILVYN® - Flexible cable conduits, FLEXIMARK® - Cable markers.
LAPP also provides plug and play cable and connectivity solutions under ÖLFLEX®️ CONNECT and Industrial Communication solutions for seamless network connectivity.
The key difference between single-core and multicore cables lies in the total number of conductors. A single core cable is manufactured with a single conductor. On the other hand, multicore cables have more than one conductor, but the final number depends on the variant specification. The individual cores can either be solid, shielded, or braided core.
Coaxial cable has an inner conductor surrounded by an insulating layer and then a conductive layer of shielding. Twisted pair cables have two conductors that are twisted together to improve electromagnetic compatibility. Both are used for the transmission of signals. In coaxial cables, the transmission occurs through the inner conductor, while in twisted pair cables, transmission occurs through the conducting wires.
Etherline supports PROFINET®, Modbus TCP, EtherNET/IP, CC-Link IE and POWERLINK protocols.
Multimode fiber optic cables have a metallic core with a large diameter that allows light signals to pass through them. Single mode and multimode fiber optic cables both transmit data through light signals. The main difference is that single mode cables have a transmitting core ranging from 8 to 10 microns. On the other hand, multimode cables have a considerably larger core of 50 or 62.5 microns.
A cable connector is a hardware piece that is fitted on the end of a cable to be plugged into an interface, or port, or connected to another device. You will find EPIC® rectangular or circular connectors in any machine and plant engineering or drive technology application used for measurement, control, regulation or drive. It is a flexible system consisting of casings, inserts, contacts and accessories which is perfectly suited to any requirement. These connectors are particularly valuable in situations where maximum safety, reliability, and a robust connection is required.
There are three types of industrial connectors:Rectangular connectors, Circular connectors and Solar Connectors.
With SKINTOP glands, cables can be fixed in an instant. Just feed the cable inside the gland and turn it tightly. The seal is tight, simple, and effective.
There are several types of conduits like protective conduits made of plastic or metal, corrugated conduits, metal conduits with a jacket, and protective conduits for special applications.
Cable markers are used to permanently identify cables. They provide a simple and effective overview of wires and cables inside the cabinet.
