CHARTING A GREENER ROAD AHEAD
In cable manufacturing, the company focuses on two key components: copper and plastics used for cable sheathing. LAPP demonstrates its commitment to sustainability by continually striving to reduce the carbon footprint of its products and processes. In recent innovation, LAPP has introduced a more eco-friendly product, featuring data cable outer sheaths made partially from corn-based materials.
ETHERLINE® FD bioP Cat.5e 4x2x26 / 19AWG
*Tested according to the ASTM D6866 standard
**Than fossil-based TPU outer sheath
The ETHERLINE® FD P Cat.5e, a staple in LAPP’s Industrial Ethernet portfolio, is now offered in a more sustainable version. LAPP has replaced the fossil-based TPU jacket with a BASF TPU made from renewable resources.
With the same product properties, utilizing these bio-based1 plastics not only reduces dependence on fossil materials, but also lowers carbon footprint by 15%.
