LAPP has helped global customers optimise their cable chain systems, including Thailand’s leading steel product manufacturer Thai Cold Rolled Steel Sheet (TCRSS), which has an annual capacity of 1.0 mil tonnes. Seeking to overhaul their existing 40-tonne Electrical Overhead Travel Crane (ETOC) system, TCRSS was looking for a robust solution that could lower maintenance downtime while handling their high output levels – and found the answer in LAPP’s ÖLFLEX^® CONNECT CHAIN solution!

THE TRANSFORMATION:

With all components readily available from our catalogues and online shops, LAPP succeeded in streamlining TCRSS' operations with a retrofitted cable chain system. Hiding unsightly bulk wiring, tow arms were mounted throughout the 27m-chain distance, as part of a more compact new chain which took up less factory space. Quick installation was prioritised to reduce disruption, while care was taken to educate TCRSS’ production staff on key operational points for a seamless transition.
