Our client came to us with the following challenges: their Electrical Overhead Travel Crane (EOTC) festooning system required time-consuming maintenance which resulted in a loss in productivity. The current EOTC also had low efficiency levels that needed to be addressed.
After consulting with the client to ensure that we addressed their needs, our team designed a custom SILVYN® CHAIN retrofit solution.
Our ÖLFLEX® CONNECT solution led to less downtime and less maintenance required. With this, the EOTC was able to be operated with greater reliability as the process was made more reliable and efficient. We were able to increase our client’s productivity levels to support growing demand for their products.
In addition to this, the retrofit ÖLFLEX® CONNECT solution required less space than the previous festooning system and provided better protection for the cables.
On top of ensuring that Thai Cold Rolled Steel Sheet PCL was able to reap the full benefits of our ÖLFLEX® CONNECT solution, we completed our installation ahead of schedule. We completed the installation in just 3 days to minimize operational disruptions. The previous festoon system was secured to the beam structure as a backup and could be seamlessly removed after 4 months of using the new SILVYN® CHAIN retrofit solution.
